Coaching Dynamics

Manager, Role Model, Counselor, Supporter, Friend…do these words ring a bell? Being a coach involves being all of these at some point in time.  The act of Coaching reflects the trust we’ve gained from those individuals we associate with.  It involves giving both support and challenging opportunities to those around us, whether personal or professional. Knowing how and when to coach is an essential skill that benefits both you as an individual, and you as a professional.

The Coaching Skills Workshop will be of particular value to:

  • anyone with a passion for uncovering their own inner genius as well as assisting others to discover the same
  • anyone who desire to assist others in defining their path in work, school, or life in general
  • anyone interested in gaining skills in using coaching language to explore and remove those mental blocks which holds us back

Participants in this workshop will:

  • be introduced to coaching methods, models, and styles, and will develop their own through facilitated exercises;
  • develop a deeper understanding of coaching language and its subtle impact on team/individual performance;
  • understand and practice rapport building techniques to enhance the coaching environment and increase team or individual coaching success;
  • practice identifying and eliminating limiting beliefs or internal blockers that prevent individuals and teams from achieving their goals;
  • gain more confidence in peer/team coaching as well as self-coaching through group exercises;

NOTE: Participants will not be certified coaches upon completion

This workshop builds upon skills we already have and gives participants additional methods to be effective coaches and mentors inside and outside of their organization. Working with several sets of coaching tools and methods, the participants will learn about the coaching environment and its many influences. Participants will also engage in exercises to apply these tools and skills to actual in-class coaching sessions.
